Hi, I'm Sam

I'm a full stack web developer with a passion for Javascript and a love of finding logical solutions to illogical problems.

I started to learn VBA while working as a Financial Services Operations Analyst. This introduction to coding piqued my interest, and I made a career change into software development.

Since then I have:

• completed General Assembly's Web Development Immersive course, a 12 week introduction into full stack development focusing on Ruby/Rails, PostgreSQL and Jquery
• obtained a Diploma Of Website Development through TAFE Queensland
• gained experience as a freelance developer
• joined Digital Six, a digital agency based in Brisbane, as a React Developer

As Digital 6's developer, I was responsible for:

• creating React components to be used in a CMS, Builder.io
• creating websites and landing pages using NextJS
• creating E-commerce and lead generation sites in Wordpress
• maintenance and feature additions of existing sites built with various CMS platforms including Wordpress, Shopify, Wix, GoDaddy and BigCommerce
• adding and updating tracking on client's sites using Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics (GA3 and GA4), and integration with Google Ads.

Other than that...

When I'm not in front of a computer I like riding my bike around Brisbane's bike paths and playing the guitar (not at the same time...)
